What are some good feeders for a baby panther?

I’m getting ready to order my baby panther soon. I already have his calcium without d3, calcium with d3 and his multivitamin. i know that you shouldn’t feed them anything bigger than from eye to eye. what are some your recommendations? I know I’ll get crickets for sure and I’ll have to make a custom gutloading housing for them and the other feeders. also dubias are not an option here ?

Black soldier fly larvae and silkworms are good. @jamest0o0 hooked me up with a discoid roach colony as Dubias are a no-go here in Florida.

crickets, silkworms, BSFL and super worms? Could i use crickets and BSFL as a staple and silk and super worms as treats?

great! I’ll do crickets, silks and BSFL. Just waiting on the cage, T5 UVB and I’ll start buying plants and a mister. I have all the other stuff

Try to time your feeder order to arrive a few days before your cham. That will ensure you have time to gutload and they live as long as possible.

for sure, do you recommend buying crickets at petco or PetSmart or no?

No. They’re expensive, don’t live as long, and more potential for parasites.

Gotcha, i was thinking about getting about 500 crickets in bulk and keeping them in a gutloading tub. 3 tubs each for every feeder. Also what size cricket for a 2-3 month old panther

I’d get 1/4”. No more than 500. You’ll probably have some dead loss by the time you get to the end of them. Especially if your giving other feeders too.

you don’t have to dust either.

you don’t need to gutload BSFL. They are already gutloaded when you get them. They release ammonia when fed them so you would end up with a really smelly container.

silkworms need either fresh mulberry leaves or mulberry mash.

no just the mulberry leaves or mash. That is there natural host plant.
