If there is not good blood supply to the wound (swelling, macerated areas) , the antibiotic might not reach all areas effectively. Specially with a highly contaminated wound, like the one from an animal bite, I think it is not a bad idea to put some topical antibiotic.
Remember the nutritional value of each dubia is about the one in 5 crickets of the same size. Depending on the size of the dubias, 10 roaches can be a hefty meal!
