I clean my chameleons cage daily, and have been using non-toxic, organic baby wipes. Is this the best option?
Just curious what you guys use on live plants (which seem to absorb more).
If this is the case, I'd invest in a misting system. If you cant afford a MistKing, go with a Climist (same thing but a bit cheaper). Then just set it on a timer for twice a day, and fill a 5 gallon bucket, or maybe even a larger bucket/container if you'll be gone for an extended period.
The...
I don't think so, but addition tubing is extremely cheap. My enclosure is heavily planted as well, and the one MistKing does fine with additional hand misting on the individual plants....
Funny, I bought a MistKing, and my chameleon prefers the Big Dripper for drinking more than the mist lol..
I have a shower curtain hanging from the rear wall that the cage is next to, and it is draper directly into a water bin Tupperware below the cage (large container btw). I also bought one of those plastic mats that you use on carpet for an office rolling chair. This helps keep the spillage in one...
Depends on the size of your setup, but the Starter kit is more than sufficient for the typical cham cage holding only one chameleon. A few extras you may want to purchase is the corner fitting (piece of plastic that helps secure the MistKing in the corner of a screen cage...its about $5), and...
Just caught a caterpillar that I found outside. I carefully went through an identification guide and discovered it is the caterpillar of the Yellow Underwing Moth, or Noctua pronuba. Is this safe to feed to my Cham as a treat?
Thanks for any timely response.
I owe it to you guys. I sincerely thank you. Final nightly update...he ended up eating 10 crickets today  and I did observe her drinking quite a bit directly from the Big Dripper. Honestly, her mood attitude, and general health raised 100 fold today alone, and I owe it to you guys. So...
This is awesome! I can't thank you guys enough. This thread started out of concernment...today alone, this little 2 inch dude ate 10 crickets after I updated his enclosure! I'm like ecstatic right now!
Now my next project, starting my cricket breeding operation!
Yeah, I tried to find taller plants, but was having little luck (or they came in gigantic pots). This is why I went with the hanging Pothos. As it grows, the wines will weave and wrap around everything. I plan on adding a few more horizontal eco-vines when I get more money (just bought a MistKing).
OK...whew...been shopping all day and made a ton of improvements. They are:
1.- All real plants now (only 1 plastic plant for climbing). Added a dwarf fern, hanging pothos, and a croton.
2.- Created a drainage system by hollowing out table, drilling a network of holes in the bottom, and...
No, please tell it like it is. This isn't about hurting my ego, it's about providing the best living area for my new resident. I will definitely do all that you said.
Also, the black "tube like thing" is one of those eco vines they sell at Petco. My dripper is on the top, and cant be seen in...
Ugh, okay, so I am completely renovating his setup today. Getting a hibiscus and pothos plant now, somehow lifting the cage (perhaps with bricks), and building a small temporary drip pan/drainage system.
Also, everyone keeps talking about humidity, but I live in Florida, and veiled chameleons...
OK, thank you. I'll try to pick up a ficus tree or something today. Do you have any recommended plants? Also, I am still having trouble finding this care sheet.
