The vet usually recommends 2-3 mL but I’m not for sure with the age and size of your Cham though. What do you think @Beman. I really like the improvements you’re making, all the changes will help her recovery tremendously plus give her the correct husbandry once she’s healed to keep her happy...

    EYE Trouble

Older chameleons can endure force feeding, but as discussed in prior threads forcefeeding of the chameleon at this age is not worth the risk of injury. So catching her at just the right time gaping or drinking is one of the few options here. I’m thinking once she gets one taste of that bug juice...

    EYE Trouble

This is the hard part because she is so young. You don’t want to force the syringe so this can be quite difficult. If you catch her gaping or drinking you can always just try to put a cricket into the mouth or the syringe with bug juice, maybe catch her drinking.

Just enough liquid from the yolk to draw into the syringe. The consistency shouldn’t be watery but not too thick either.

No problem! Veterinary services offer incorrect information all the time trust me they did it to me right after taking $110 out of my wallet a couple months ago. I recommend her temps at night should be 55-65 which also really helps retain the humidity, we as keepers know better sometimes by the...

    EYE Trouble

I’ve read multiple prior threads relating to the carnivore critical care subject. I’m going to advise against it and recommend you to use a home-made bug juice recipe instead of the critical care carnivore. The critical care carnivore is used widely even for chameleons but it truly doesn’t have...

    Importance of Pothos

You’re so right, my Cham is getting a terrarium upgrade and a full size pothos next week and I’m so excited, it’s cost me a big buck but happy chameleon happy me!

    EYE Trouble

The only reason I’m worried about the critical care carnivore is because veiled chameleons are insectivores. I’m not sure if that’s even digestible. I’d call your vet and make sure that should have been given to a veiled Cham. I could be wrong and like I said if so someone can correct me. I...

    EYE Trouble

As said before I live near you in Indiana and I took my Cham Iris to the vet near here and I wonder where you took your Cham if that isn’t too personal because the vet that saw my Cham didn’t even know how to tell the gender of my Cham which is worrying. The people on this forum saved her a few...

    NEED HELP ASAP

That’s exciting! My girl Iris has been producing eggs and I am setting her laying bin up this week. She hasn’t started digging or watching the bottom her and I’ve cut back on the feeders a bit and watching her like a hawk! Good luck to you and your Cham!

The humidity should be %80-%90 at night so either your hygrometer is broken or you need to increase spraying time after the lights shut out. You should only spray the cage in the morning after the lights come on for 4-8 minutes and spray the cage at night after the lights go off for 4-8 minutes...

    Tail rot

Adding on to what @Lt.WorfReportingForDuty said, you could even have your parents create an account or give them the info to your account then they can come on chameleon forums and take the pictures then upload them for us to analyze and we can do a full husbandry review. Knowing this is an...

The daytime blue bulbs are all bad for the chameleon eyes. Even if it doesn’t look like it gives off color it actually does because the glass on the bulb isn’t correctly colored. No one likes to hear you got to spend another $10 on one of these bulbs but I’m going to attach a picture of a bulb...

Yes, you should raise the basking branch and use your probe thermometer to get the temperature at a constant 78-80 degrees. What is the brand/type of 60w bulb you are using if you don’t mind me asking, the reason I ask is because some of the brands/types of this bulb do not work properly. You...
