Thanks everyone. It was definitely awkward. How often should I do it?

    White protrusion in rear end.

Hi all, I wanted as much feedback as I can get on this so I am not sure if this is the correct way to post. My veiled chameleon is almost a year old (Yay!) And for the first time I am seeing a protrusion from his rear end for the past couple of days. See images attached. I don't know what it is...

How to get scared Cham to drink

Thank you everyone for all of the helpful feedback. I am breathing a sigh of relief knowing my options for my veiled. I recently grew more concerned because I recorded a 10 min video of him drinking. The concern is that he was not licking the leaves but eating them. He had tried to eat the fake...

How to get scared Cham to drink

I have a 6 month old veiled in a 2ftx2ftx4ft cage with 2 pothos and one large umbrella plant. He is very skittish and hisses a lot. Whenever I mist him, he runs away. I've never seen him drink off the dropper or lick water off of the leaves, but since I got him 3 months ago, he's been eating a...

    Chameleon Poop 101

Oh my gosh. Super helpful thread. I just found some undigested worm parts in my Veiled's poop. It goes to about 40-45F right now in NY and I have him up in the attic as that's the warmest spot in the house. I have a ceramic heat lamp in case it gets too cold for him and have been using it...

    Setup in front of cage

Hi everybody, My veiled is going on 4 months and he has a 16x16x30 in ReptiBreeze cage. He seems to be walking about fine and has his basking moments. Winter is coming and since I can't take him outside, I'd like to be able to set up a couple of plants in front of his cage for him to walk about...

    Don't spoil your chameleon

Mines won't even eat crickets unless I put some worms in there with them. That boy is trying to train me!

    New Jackson Chameleon owner

I came across this post as I do a lot of research and get a lot of old posts as results. I think it's helpful to post, regardless of how old the thread is.

    New Jackson Chameleon owner

Love reading everyone's responses. Mines is about 2 months and the humidifier is very helpful in keeping his cage warm and moist so the water doesn't dry up too quickly. Especially at the bottom of his cage since the basking lights can heat up the cage quickly and dry things up.

Hi guys need some help with handling my baby veiled chameleon

I can certainly relate to how you feel. I'm a new baby chameleon owner myself and had to accept the fact that I may not ever get to handle/tame my chameleon. I honestly don't exactly have great history with animals in general. But if my chameleon gets sick, I will do what I need to, to ensure he...
