Venomous animals kill by injecting lethal chemicals into your body. Poisonous animals kill by contact or being ingested because they have lethal chemicals in their body or parts of their body. I have daddy long legs killing the stray red runners or fungus gnats. I love them.

I do actually keep them for more than a year. Hissers are different from dubia. I'm saying this from experience and firsthand observation, not from making speculations and assumptions.

Dubia DO need a dark area to thrive and breed. In the wild they are always hiding under the leaf litter. When I first keep dubia, I had them in a clear plastic fish tank and they are always in between the egg crates and wouldn't come out. At night when I had my room lights on, they are still...

I too, had like so many that turned into flies in the enclosure that I had to remove some. There were probably 50 of them at one point. My cham likes them though, I witness him gulping down a mating pair of bsf once.
