Pet Chameleon and Tortoise

Can my veiled chameleon be around my tortoise when I take it out of its cage? I want to see how would they react.

Your chameleon has no interest in interacting with your tortoise. Best case scenario, nothing bad happens. Worst case scenario, you stress the chameleon out majorly. If this is only for your own entertainment/curiosity, then I suggest considering the needs of your animals first. This is a no-no and there is no reason to do it in the first place.
