Are you going to re-evaluate and adjust your husbandry before getting a new chameleon? Not trying to be harsh or anything, but for one the all glass enclosures are not ideal and the one you have does not allow them to regulate their body temp due to the height.

I personally would still supplement D3 lightly, just to be safe, if you have your UVB dialed in correctly and the cham gets sun exposure. I get my cham out a few times a week and still give Repashy LoD a few times a month, since it's also a multi-vitamin.
Does your D3 source have other stuff...
I put him in the outside cage over the weekend, mid-day, while I cleaned his inside cage, for maybe around 10 minutes. I go out to check on him and he has something in his mouth. I look close and it is a lightning bug, still whole, on his tongue about to get chomped. I panicked and picked him up...
I use plain calcium with no D + some bee pollen mixed in daily and give calcium plus LoD a few times a month, similar to @Bamajoker
My boy gets outside a few times a week and his UVB bulb is dialed in with a Solormeter so I don't see the need to supplement D too much. Just a little to be safe.
It's doable, it will just take more time and planning to make sure all areas are zip tied tightly.
I think if you instead go with wood with a solid polyurethane coat, you could make it work outdoors. With wood you could staple the screen into the wood making it bug secure.
Not 100%, if the bugs climbed around where the screen meets the PVC they will eventually find a gap large enough to squeeze through. If you have patience and a million zip ties you could improve it a bit.
Added a PVC board to eliminate the gap between the doors and added a few more vines. Last remaining items are live plant(s), some type of locking mechanism for the doors, and remove the stump and plant grass under the cage.
At first glance he looks pretty good. I think some improvements can be made in his enclosure, specifically the size IMO.

@Beman maybe go with the staggered approach. What I did is kept one container on top of my chameleon cage where they get a smidge of heat from my basking lights and another container I kept on the floor where it's cooler--if you have a cooler place in your home then you can probably slow the...
Correction, I've hatched a full 250 (pictures in one of my previous posts) but I realized it was wayy too many worms for my single male panther so I ended up giving around half of them to my local pet shop who has a mulberry tree outside. Raising 250 would definitely require around 1 lb of...
I've never raised a full 250, but I can tell you 150 or so would use 1/2 lb powder if you use it sparingly so little to none goes to waste.
