When Poop is Heavier Than Most Chameleons

That would be awesome if it works, and way better for the chams than the UVB as well. You can't beat mother nature, and the real thing.

    Pale Veiled Chameleon

Personally I don't think changing the light would hurt, however without an actual reading I can't be certain a 100 watt does seam a little much IMO but if your sure it is only in the 80's it should be ok. She will need to be in the 80's for proper thermoregulation, and digestion of her food.

    Pale Veiled Chameleon

Well what size bulb you use is very dependent on a lot of factors like how far away it is, and how worm it is in your house, and so on. I use a 60 watt bulb and my basking area is about 80-82, but that doesn't mean yours will be the same you really need to measure it. I think @carol5208 might...

    Pale Veiled Chameleon

I would check your basking temps with a better gage she might be over heating. Does she open her mouth a lot like she is having extended yawns? The best temp device I have found is a infrared heat temp gun I got mine off of E-bay for just over 11 bucks. They are extremely accurate, and you can...

When Poop is Heavier Than Most Chameleons

I have no drainage woes, I don't have the expense of lights because the plants are all growing in natural light, etc. @jpowell86 How much do you have in UVB lights?

what's you opinions on Climist vs Mistking? (timer specifically, and/or whole unit)

@rminnis I don't think any of us are pushing MistKing, we are just giving our experiences. As far as Climist is concerned as for me I can't give any self experience because I have never owned one they look like they would be fine to me. I don't believe any of us are on Marty's payroll. or are...

    Chameleon black patch!

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I think that may just be her natural coloring they do that at times. She is looking real pretty those are her receptive colors, and she will be more than likely laying eggs soon do you have a laying ben set up for her? P.S. After taking another look I'm...

Apparently Panthers only live 1 year....

I do remember the did you know section on here did talk about a chameleon who's life span was that short, but it wasn't a panther chameleon.

what's you opinions on Climist vs Mistking? (timer specifically, and/or whole unit)

I too have a MistKing had it for over 6 years and love it. I have accidently run the pump dry not once but three times over the years, and it still works as good as the day I bought it. Good luck

what's you opinions on Climist vs Mistking? (timer specifically, and/or whole unit)

This all depends on how many misters you want to put on the second enclosure. You will definitely need a (T) connector, and a mister, and tubing, and if you choose a second mister choose the one with the (T) connector.

    My Cham question

I don't think it's mouth rot personally because it will normally look infected, and usually starts on the gums. I think he has damaged it some how. It looks like it could be dead, and might fall off so be prepared for that. Hopefully it will just heal and everything will works out. Good luck

    My Cham question

That could be mouth rot, but it looks more like a burn to me. Might want a good reptile vet look at it if it's mouth rot he will need some antibiotics. What ever it is it does look damaged, and don't look normal and should have some attention IMO. Good luck

    UVB/heat light

Yes I agree with @Carlton. I thought you were talking about the temps you were keeping your cham in. Sorry about the confusion.

My Chameleon is black and puffed up mouth

I would put some more foliage in there if it were me that way he will have more places to feel secure. And like Bob said his colors look fine like I said just being a chameleon. You might want to consider getting him a larger enclosure after he matures. Good luck.
