As far as I know there are theories. Some say the casque helps direct water drops toward the mouth, others say its to allow larger jaw muscles and stronger attachments to bone for a stronger bite.
EDIT: just read the thread Kinyonga linked and it seems I was on the right path with jaw muscles...
But my Kyle LOVES me. He gives me love bites any chance he gets. He even likes it when I let him sleep under the blankets with me. <------------Hopefully obvious sarcasm....
Most of those prices I listed were off the top of my head. I feel like I've spend more as well. Overall, I know I spent more because when I first started decided to get a chameleon I bought that god awful chameleon kit at petco..... What a waste of money that was....
I think we scared him off. Anyway, since im bored at work, heres a break down of costs for just my chams enclosure:

Yeah this was a bit of a wake up call. I spent the night gather our important stuff and moved our small portable file box to the coat closet near our door. Also moved all the carriers near each animals cage.

What are the temps in the cage? Basking temp? Height of the bulb away from the basking branch?
So, at about 2:30am, I was woken up by my fiancee telling me our apartments fire alarm is going off. How I slept through this I have no clue... Anyway, I put my hoodie on and checked our apartment and didn't see anything out of the norm. Then I checked outside and saw my neighbors from two...
And to add to the topic at hand. My soon to be wife (next week) was adamant about not moving in with me and my tarantulas. Now, she gets on my case when I forget its feeding day for them or if one enclosure is dry on water. She claims to be grossed out but I catch her looking for fresh molts...
Use a flashlight to check for veins under the shell of the eggs. No veins, not fertile. As soon as the help form is filled out we will be able to help you out further.
Good job getting a lay bin ready and in the cage.

You'll need to make sure you have a proper laying bin set up within the next few months. Anytime after around 6 months old females will become sexually mature and start producing infertile eggs.
Here is a caresheet which...
