usually chams will NEVER drink from a still water source such as a water bottle. they like to drink off of leaves as the fresh water is being sprayed onto them or around them. As i am misting mine, he literally drinks it out of the air as i am misting, drinks it as it runs in droplets on his...
everyday i mist my cham with a bottle mister for like 15-25 mins and he LOVES it. fill it up with warm water and mist him so it replicates rain. as ophelia said, might take him a min or 2 to start drinking. usually takes mine about that.
update- he just ate a cricket, a super worm and a butter worm lol. i think i am going to go to work and schedule the vet appt. for wed he seems fine now
i honestly have no clue. i went over to feed him and it was all out, then 30 seconds later it was all in and looked completely normal. Do you the vet check can wait until Wed if he stays ok?
so my cham was just prolapsing and when i went to go get the number for the vet and came back it had went back in. I misted him after and he drank like usual. Does this still warrant a vet visit???? As I do have work today but would call out if it does. Any input would be appreciated!
if she seems to do it ONLY when u hold her that means she is most likely just pissed at u and wants you to put her down. If she is doing it while she is just climbing in your enclosure see the comment above mine from @jajeanpierre
Hi, I think this looks dehydrated but I am not completely sure. I'm no expert yet and need some help with this! I'm a bit worried about it and was wondering if anyone had any input for me. Thanks!
i saw on a different post that he is a brand new cham. Don't bother him as he is stressed enough already. Give him some space and make sure his cage is in a low traffic part of the house
I am not experienced enough in this to give you advice, but just wanted to say good on you for trying to help her rather than return her (y). She'd most likely die at the pet store if you were to bring her back
