thats a lot of misters in one cage lol, and why not just buy a large cage 24x24x48? height is more important and also screened cage like you have is better, exoterra 36x18x36 is a glass enclosure if I'm not mistaken. Plants I'd look at the safe list and most will survive if potted properly for...
Like stated above it's good to know your Cham will drink the water but it would be too much of a risk factor for me. Keep hand misting and the dripper going until you get an automated mister and I think you should be solid!
I see you leave one of your lights on 24/7...I don't have a panther Cham but I believe the 12 hour day 12 hr Night aplies to all chams. Also does your mistking go off while your Cham is sleeping? At night? Says one of your sessions is at midnight. My only concern with that is a uri in your Cham...
I agree I also have a bare bottom cage easier to clean. Dragon strand ledges can hold potted plants off the floor of your enclosure, a bit pricey though. I just zip tied a majority of my smaller potted plants to sturdy branches in my set up.
mistking is essential, I had a similar problem until I installed my mistking. Now my Cham will sit on the branch closest to the nozzle and hold his mouth open to intake water, he quickly hides in his safe spot after a few sevonds of this. He does drink the water droplets off leaves but I rarely...
Your gonna get a lot of haters on your waterfall lol looks cool though. For your humidity problem live plants up the humidity quit a bit, along with longer mistings, even a humidifier in the room will help to bump up the humidity.
This is the 3rd and hopefully last time tweeking my chams newest cage:cool:Added some more vertical branches and a lot more foliage in the mid section of the cage. Now time to turn his old cage into an outdoor setup for summer!
I hope this cage is up to the standards of the Cham enthusiasts on...
This is true lol I know I had plants on the bottom he just kept crapping in them and it was a pain to clean but I think I'll suspend another pothos like u said and try that out, I've been wanting to get rid of the one dracaena that I have anyway!
I've got one pothos at the top it's only been a month since I've had it and it's been growin pretty fast I've been weaving some of those vines downward but I never thought to put one lower and have vines go upward, great idea! I'll check out your enclosure on you profile for some more ideas...
I'm thinking that he's just getting use to it as well like you said he's just leery of all the new plants and branches. Thanks for the reply I just wanted to make sure his nails weren't going to get ripped out from the climbing. It's kind of upsetting to see all the time invested in setting his...
I just added a few more plants and branches in my veileds enclosure and out of all the pathways he has he chooses to climb the side of his cage, never on the top of the cage just up and down the sides. Anything I can do to prevent this, I know it can't be good for there nails. Is this common...
Any of those bulbs are good there is no best bulb when choosing a basking bulb you just want to make sure that the "basking spot" is the correct temp depending on what kind Cham you have, this will differ with species. Also you want your Cham to be able to move away from his basking spot to a...
@NicBarta on this forum makes awesome feeder cups that are magnetic here's a pic of mine. If your Cham needs to put on weight this will make easy access 24/7 and he will figure out that his food is there and just know where to go when he's hungry!
I've drilled holes in the sub tray leading to a cage water tray from lllrep that Is fed into a storage bin. The floor of the cage drys out between mistings, I had a problem with standing water when I first put this together as I didn't have enough holes drilled into the sub tray, I just waited...
32 views, only a few comments no suggestions leads me to believe I did a good job lol. Only reason I asked for suggestions or input is because this is my second cage build and I wanted it to be right on.
Happy holidays everyone!
