I have the one on the left (that looks more square), its stationary so it lacks the pan and tilt controls, but the zoom and field of view is pretty good. The one on the right is the model with the pan/tilt functions, I can't speak to that, but assume its pretty good.

In the same boat, just finished up an outdoor perch for my cham and haven't been able to use it yet because of all the ash and dark skies. (Also in the bay area)

I'm not very expirenced but the black color is probably be bruising from the fall. You said she's having trouble moving her back legs, is she moving her tail? A video might help.
In any case I'd try and find an emergency vet to take a look.
