2 chameleon, 1 cage, different times

Great reply Carlton. Panthers definitely do "taste" branches for sure. Both my male and female routinely "taste" as they move around there own enclosures. I would be paranoid about "rotating" different chams into my big outdoor enclosure that my male primarily is in during the spring, summer...

    Chameleon Poop 101

IMO, I think its worms in general that are potentially giving him the "runs". From your description, it sounds like a lot of his feeders are worms. I would try to reduce the amount of worm based feeders, and stick more so to crickets. He's also to the age that I believe its ok to go to every...

    Some ppk are just

You are going to probably have a hard time getting anyone to send your dubias. FL regulations prohibit them here in our state. Discoids are ok though. From your description in some of the thread it sounds like you may be south of me in Ft. Myers or Sarasota area, right? There is a local...

    Plants for a baby?

as little as your youngin is, be careful on not to over heat him if you take him outside. without the help of good natural sunlight, you are probably not going to get a hibiscus to keep blooming. its a great plant for good foliage though. shefflera, ficus, and pothos are all good ones too.

    Chameleon Poop 101

I don't have to sniff, I can tell when there is poo in the enclosures. It just flat out stinks. My girl is totally consistent on where, and I can see it. My male on the other hand is pretty good at getting it on the back side of a leaf so it takes a bit to find it.

    Chameleon Poop 101

Good to know I'm not the only "poo smasher" out there. Glad you said it first. :p Mine both poo with mucus and air a bit. Guess they're just a little bit gassy...

Yeah no worries about seeing a bit or orange up front of the urates from a cham that poo's every 3, 4, or 5 days. You are not alone w/ not seeing him drink. I think they do it on purpose. You turn your head, and they'll drink. You look back and they just smile like nothing is going on...

    Pooping. :P

depending on the type of cham your are housing, most of the time be cautious of any kind of substrate. chams can ingest it and could cause detrimental problems. most keepers have ZERO substrate in the bottom of enclosures. I'm right with you on the giggling part of "poo" threads. I...

    Repot just top half?

I've had issues in the past w/ knats, so I do this to all my plants now when they're going into my screen cages. Here's the process. 1. remove as much original soil away from the root ball 2. add layer of rocks in the bottom of pot (approximate 1") 3. add layer of play sand over the...
