    Feeding baby Panther Cham

I don't use a feeder cup, so I don't have any advice for you along those lines. However, I wanted suggest you consider hand feeding... At least on a temporary basis, so you know exactly what's being eaten (or not eaten). You can even use tongs if you're not comfortable touching the feeders.

Quick question re: Blue Bottle Flies...

Okay, so I shouldn't be sitting here waiting for them to take flight! :ROFLMAO: Thanks for the feedback... I appreciate it! (y)

Quick question re: Blue Bottle Flies...

How long do they take to start flying once they've hatched? My first few just emerged this morning, but none of them are flying... Just lots of repetitive walking short distances followed by standing still for long periods of time.

    Lobster roach escapee!

Yesterday, while harvesting Lobster roaches from my bug farm I inadvertently let one escape. Those of you that have experience with and/or knowledge of this particular species of roach know this is NOT a good thing! I was holding an egg crate over their bin gently shaking it in hopes of...

Nothing More Pathetic than a Shedding Baby

Poor little guy... Must be adorable though, because he's cute even when he's miserable. :D

Just weighed my ~5 month old male Panther for the 1st time...

He weighed-in at 67 grams, but I have no idea what to make of this number... Anyone have any feedback? My intention is to weigh him regularly going forward, but I'm curious what to make of this initial data point. For visual reference, here's a picture of him (from yesterday): Free ranging...

    1st time free ranging...

Ahh... Yes, I neglected to mention the firey moat I put at the bottom. :ROFLMAO: On a slightly more serious note, I certainly don't think it's impossible for a Chameleon to climb down from the canopy. However, the lack of cover (i.e. leaves) and secure footholds (i.e. branches) on the bottom...

    1st time free ranging...

I pruned my free range setup as a topiary for this reason - to discourage escape attempts. I believe the lack of branches on the lower half of the tree keeps the Chameleon up in the top half of the tree. Cross-posting this from the Free Range sub-forum, so a few more of you can see it... :p 1st time hanging out in his new indoor free range setup; which is a 7' tall Schefflera tree. 1st time free ranging... by NERVOUS posted Feb 10, 2016 at 1:52 PM

Working on a part-time free range setup.

I haven't finished pruning yet, but decided to let my Chameleon take his new part-time free range for a 'test drive' today... I think he likes it! (y) If you look closely, you'll see a tiny bit of shedding skin stuck to his bottom jaw. I've said it before, but it warrants being said again...

By the way, when I say "part-time free range setup" I mean a place for my Chameleon to hangout while I clean his cage, etc. ;)

Working on a part-time free range setup.

Yesterday I impulsively purchased a 6' tall Schefflera tree. :ROFLMAO: Schefflera tree by NERVOUS posted Feb 9, 2016 at 2:47 PM Now I'm in the process of pruning it so that it'll (hopefully) look something like this: Schefflera topiary by NERVOUS posted Feb 9, 2016 at 2:43 PM Schefflera...
