Feeding baby Panther Cham

First time Cham daddy here. need some help!
my panther chameleon seems to be active, but I can't tell if he is eating his crickets or the little buggers just hide somewhere in his enclosure.
I looked up the technique of feeding where I put the crickets in a tall container and allow the cham to hunt from above. can anyone explain their set up for this? I tried it out but the crickets are finding their way out and still roam around the enclosure.

I don't use a feeder cup, so I don't have any advice for you along those lines. However, I wanted suggest you consider hand feeding... At least on a temporary basis, so you know exactly what's being eaten (or not eaten). You can even use tongs if you're not comfortable touching the feeders.
