Also what would all of you guys reccomend for a good source of food for a veiled chameleon? I've been getting crickets dubias and hornworms and I'm waitingfor my snails to breed. A preferred kind of roach over the dubia? Or a specific stick insect?
I had a few questions on this topic. What size container would you need for a pretty small colony(to feed one chameleon)? How many would I need to start out with? What temp/heat source would I need? Do I need to move nymphs into separate containers or can they be left with the adults?
Thanks!
I'm at home living with my parents while I'm in college this semester and they don't even let me have them in the house so I have to sneak them in lol. But next semester I'm transferring colleges and renting an apartment and I plan to do so then!
Ok, thanks! I was also curious if you had an estimate on about how large of space I would need to keep about 20-30 dubia roaches at a time to guttload them?
On another note, I have been feeding him small crickets but he finally took to dubia roaches. I got some medium ones (way bigger than I thought they would be) but he eats them anyways! Do you think that it will be ok he's eating them(the small ones are just tiny and don't move and he doesn't...
Thanks guys :) so would it be ok to just put in about 4 roaches and 12 crickets a day? And remove whatever is left over? Or would I have to worry about him getting too fat haha
