I love finding new reptile stores. I just found one the other day with at least 50 chameleons in it. It is called jabberwock reptiles. another one that i love is "n.e.r.d" or "zoo creatures" So if anyone is from Massachusetts or New Hampshire I suggest you check those out.
No substrate at all is recommended even if you chameleon does not go near it. He could shoot at food and pick up a piece. also baths for chameleons is not very recommended either unless he has a sperm plug or some sort of sore on his foot. Chameleons should have water only by misting, drippers...
Got a better look today and there is some yellow in his mouth right on the corner for sure. I know chameleons can have bright color mouths but this is right on the inside of his lip on the corner. Is it time for a vet visit?
Mr. Freeze was not very happy with me trying to open his mouth but I did free him a few crickets and watched his mouth. It looks normal to me, there's a little bit of yellow near the corner of his mouth, is that normal? Other than that there is no thick saliva or anything.
I'll try to look tomorrow. What's the best way to open his mouth? He is pretty aggressive and I don't want to stress him out. I'll feed him and see how it looks though.
