This morning, he hand-fed 5 baby horn worms, then promptly chowed 6 supers. .
He's also doing what Pixel did as a baby; sleeping in a different spot every night. So cute!
@Scottsquatch Thank you. He's a true yellow body/red bar when he's fired up.
I have to say, I almost never see those colors because he's so friendly and mellow. The only time he fires up is if our big dog is bugging him. LOL!
I put the supers in his cup yesterday. They were all gone this morning so I added more supers, crickets and a horn worm in the hand. He chowed everything!
I had forgotten what voracious eaters they are as babies! LOL!
Fun news to report: This morning, while attempting to place a tiny horn worm onto Wasabi's FR, I noticed he got very excited, so I just held it in my hand and he took it!
I guess appetite won over fear. Not bad for the first morning!
Frankie definitely looks like a Francine to me.
What they mean about the feet is that a male, veiled chameleon has little spurs on the backs of their back feet.
I put it on the top shelf on my baker's rack, so he would be high above us. I thought that might make him feel a bit safer, as he acclimates.
Plus, he has a nice Lake view!
Thanks, guys! To be honest, veiled chams were not my favorite, and I always worried they were all mean.
I got him solely because he came from @jannb 's care.
I'm already head-over heels! He's so adorable!
He just arrived from Jann's loving home.
I named him "Wasabi."
I'm not a very good photog, so I asked husband and kids to do the honors.
He climbed right out of his little bag and onto my hand. So strong and healthy!
Thank you, Jann! So excited to watch him grow.
Ok guys. Jann sent pics right before she packed him up. I SWEAR his eyeballs look like perfect, little watermelons!
I'd love to find a name related to that. LOL!
