Oh well then I am ahead there. He is cup fed already by one I have hanging until I buy something better soon so he should already feel fine about eating from it alone. Should make the next step easier to move along on.
Do you mean just putting feeders in a cup and holding it out for them to eat? He's been pretty secretive about his eating so it may be hard to nail down. Thank you for the advice!
So Shrek and I have made progress.
Getting through those onion layers.
He's seeming to stop seeing me as a predatory threat it seems.
Guy even went into shed and didn't take lunges or puff up at my intrusion to reset his feeders and clean his cage bottom.
Poor guy had a bit of his she'd...
Female Panther Sisters - Skadii & Mjolnir (sadly they came sick and I couldn't get them on track even with the vets help, sadly the passed)
Male Verrucosis - Shrek the Ogre (I couldn't decide between Shrek or Ogre so I just use them both)
Good idea, I use wax worms as a treat for my crested geckos when I need to check them or handle. They love them so little pigs are usually more than happy to be handled for a juicy worm.
Ill have to experiment to see what he likes best as a treat bug I can use with him.
Yes he is WC, sorry I didn't restate. And makes sense that since he is settling in he is going "This is my swamp!". I think it just depends on the day or his mood.
If it makes sense it seems like he wants to explore some and watch in an investigative manner not so much a keep an eye on the big...
Hello again all,
I made a post recently about Shrek aka Ogre. The new Warty Chamelon I recently acquired.
He has adjusted well to his setup and is eating well and is quite curious. However and not unsurprising he is still not okay with people.
I don't expect him to be some cuddle buddy or...
I have been offering him fresh running water and misting religiously and the store owner said he is WC though he usually doesn't carry anything non captive bred.
And he is? I'm used to looking for wrinkles or sunken eyes, should I throw in a few extra mistings? Or just keep his humidity higher.
So I finally decided on naming him Shrek the Ogre.
I couldn't pick between the two.
Also he is calming down quickly, doesn't try to rip me up when I need to do his water adjustment or feeders.
He is pooping and coming out of the corner now and moving all around, only thing is he still isn't...
When he isn't fired at all he looks like a grayish blob with almost no green. And I don't mind Yoshi it's just too common like Hulk for green reptiles.
And thanks,I have been around in the past but my two females passed so I didn't have a cham until now.

The bottom two pics were taken at the shop before I purchased him.
Stuck on a name right now.. I'm stuck between Toad, Wart, Midori or Yoshi.
He's got spunk but calms quickly.
Picked these two up at the Hillsboro Exotic Show.
Njord
Skadi
Njord was a food hog while we set up the second cage.
Now that we have two setup Skadi is putting on more weight. Just haven't taken a new pic since then.
My new beardies are home (finally got a pair after my old boy passed on some years ago).

Funny enough I hate cliche nerd names but the moment I held her Zelda it was.
A nice coincidence because her Z I got in this last summer randomly for my desk at a...
Sad news.
The chameleon I was going to pay on today to bring home is gone.
Not in a good way either...
The owner after accepting my offer decided to come into the shop to get him and take him home.
She called me and let me know he did just a minute ago.. kinda heart broken, especially since...
Well that makes me smile and honestly I only know about 2 large parrot owners, the rest and myself have only had small birds like parakeets. He must be a fighter if he has lived this long and been able to come back and continue to work up his strength.
