There was actually liquid in his fecal this morning and his urates are more of a concern to me. It looks almost translucent and has the consistency of an egg yolk.
This morning liquid came out at well as something very similar to the above picture. He's been dark green and black for the past few days and spent most of his time near the bottom or on the floor of his cage
When I took my little one in they weighed him and then they showed me how to give him the medication he needed. ( he had loose stools so she gave him some oral meds). The vet was very sweet, she looked around at his face a body but overall not much poking or prodding.
Your Chameleon - Male panther chameleon 8 months old
How long has it been in your care? About 2 months
Handling - only if I have to
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? crickets mostly but he showed no interest them all week so hes liked silk worms. I saw him eat a few crickets today...
I may or may not have agreed to take on 2 more!! I am crazy I know, but I can have 2 chameleons for less than it cost me for my panther from the petstore.(I don't want to think about vet bills right now lol)
So today I went on Kijiji to see lots of ignored chameleons, mainly veiled trying to be sold so the owners can get rid of them. I saw it all, glass enclosures, waterfalls, water dishes, substrate. So many neglected babies. I wish I could take them all home but most of them are 3-5 hours drive...
I have coco fiber in the plants in my enclosure, it's great for retaining moisture and I have never had mold. When it gets really cold I use a space heater on the other side of the room lol
That was unrelated to my cham. He did have pinworms but I gave him medication and he is now parasite free(vet called yesterday). I am just concerned because he is not eating even half as much as normal and now nothing. He hate 2 hornworms and wasnt interested in the silkworms at all so I put in...
I bought him some silkworms and some superworms yesterday and he ate 6 silkworms as soon as he laid eyes on them (that's all I bought because local store is really expensive) and I only gave him 1
"medium" superworm. Going to buy more silkworms and hornworms today and order them online.He...
Sorry, I figured I filled these out so often I wouldnt need to worry about his setup. He is in my bedroom on the 6th floor of an apartment in Canada. I have a temperature gun which I use to monitor his temps. Incandescent light bulb for basking and a linear 18" UVB bulb. Mist his cage daily by...
about 1 month ago I took Floyd to the vet. He had insanely smelly fecals so I took him in. The vet gave me Flagyl and I gave him that once daily for 7 days. Fecal looked a bit better. The test came back positive for pinworms about 3 days later. I gave him Panacur once about a month ago and then...
Hey everyone, I was told in another post to remove my infrared heat bulb and use a normal incandescent 60w bulb. My first question is since it is normal light, can I safely house is in this http://m.petco.com/product/9469/Flukers-Clamp-Lamps.aspx (I have the 150 watt size) because it does say I...
