I've been taking advantage of my VOHEMAR Chameleons nasty nature to administer his calcium drops every day while he's being treated for MBD.
He opens his mouth, turns bright colors and hisses when my hand gets near him...And boom. I squirt the drops in his mouth while he threatens me.
Today he...
He's still recovering and he still has an issue with his tongue:
He doesn't shoot it out very far or very fast. Instead he'll crawl halfway inside the feeder cup and nab his insects at almost point blank range.
It works for him.
I just find it odd. But then again, he's been unwell the whole...
I drilled the table. (Made of plastic) and silicone glued/stainless steel screwed it all together.
The cages and the table are one, solid piece now.
The holes are through the bottom trays and through the table.
Its important to continue the antibiotic treatment until the end. Or whatever it is that your vet is attempting to eradicate can grow immunity.
Hopefully your vet knows what they're doing.
I suggest keeping the animal hydrated and feed her as long as she'll eat.
Food in is strength after all.
I've got REPTIBREEZE pans in all of my cages with 2" center holes drilled for drains.
Those are also flat.
I have the same issue. However, a few potted plants help slurp up the extra standing water.
There really IS a need for those dished bottom trays!
I used the damp Orchid bark because I noticed how crazy the went sucking on the wet Springtail media.
I just experienced a shedding today. Or a moulting of a juvenile to an adult.
I had purchased two small tubs of tiny mealworms for my small Panther Chameleon and then did not feed most of them due to what I later found out about them.
In the meantime, many of them have become small beetles. About 10mm or near 7/16"(or less)
Small. But too large for my baby Panther...
Recently I received a group of HORSESHOE CRAB ROACHES from @jamest0o0
I've placed them on a layer of damp Orchid bark. Covered by a layer of dried Oak leaves.
They're being fed cut vegetables and REPASHY BUG BURGER.
I did feed off four this morning. Two small nymphs to my little Panther who is...
There are literally green iguanas everywhere here.
I recently found this guy in a tote I use for transporting my tortoises.
Most evasive animals are just living here. They are thriving.
To do anything about it this late in the game is just wishful thinking
