Hey everyone, just got my Ambilobe this morning from Chameleon Ranch. His name is Greedo, for those of you that dont know this is a character from star wars as i am a huge star wars geek. When i opened his container he literally jumped onto my shirt, climbed up my arm, and sat on my shoulder. He...
I was using a 75 watt and was testing it on top of the cage with a temp gun. After 2 hours of sitting there the screen was 110 degrees F. What you could do is purchase a dome from wal mart that is connected to a clamp. Get a square dowell or piece of wood and clamp your light dome onto it and...
Ok, now i am finished. Had to take out one pothos to cut some leaves off due to what could have been a fungal infection. Cut the leaves off, did a vinegar treatment. Dried the plant out, seems to be fine now. It isnt quite the same as my first design but tell me what you think (:
Welcome to the forums (: that little meleon looks pretty young. Im not exactly sure how old it would be though. I would guess between 1 and 2 months? Try to check with another pet store and see if they have pin head crickets. They are extremely small. The way i used to feed my baby was putting...
I actually dont have one at the moment. Ive been looking for someone to get one from but there isnt a lot available right now, it would seem. I just trimmed off all the infected leaves. Going to also put a fan in the room with the enclosure because i read that poor air flow can cause this fungus.
Hey everyone. So i have been running the lights in my enclosure during the day for the last 2 days so i can test all my temps. Earlier today i noticed some leaves on my pothos plant have black spots on them. When i look it up i can find similar situations and it says its either a burn or a...
Hello there. I dont know a ton about veileds but i do know they are the type of cham to eat leaves. So i wouldnt be too worried about that. When you say he goes to the bottom of the cage, does he go to the lowest branch or vine or is he literally on the bottom?
Dont use both. Theres really no use for an LED. Just use the UVB and a basking bulb. A clear white 75 watt house bulb works just fine for a basking bulb. Dont use the blue or red bulbs. Your welcome for the fast reply. I wish some of my posts got replied to more quickly lol
Anyone ever got a cham from here? I see they have some beautiful blood lines but it doesnt state the age of the available ones for sale. But in the pictures they look extremely young. Like less than 3 months. I emailed them but havent heard back.
Hey everyone. Put in a basking spot just a little big ago. Got the heat light off the top of the cage using some dowels and connected it to the side of the cage at an angle. Tested the basking spot temp with a temp gun and it goes back and forth between 84 to 87 F. Lowest temperature on lowest...
