Is that ceramic heater on? If so she can possible burn her self by not realizing the heat as it is not visible in light form.

Veiled wth Pneumonia need ADVICE PLEASE

Copied from the caresheets on this website. Humidity: Humidity is an important aspect of chameleon husbandry. Veiled chameleons require levels around 40-70%, which can be achieved by several misting sessions a day over all areas of the cage. Live plants help increase and maintain humidity...

Veiled wth Pneumonia need ADVICE PLEASE

70-80% imo is to much 35-45% would be better. Was the humidity like this before you noticed the pneumonia? If not what was it running?

Veiled wth Pneumonia need ADVICE PLEASE

High 60's is fine for a night temp. I know this doesn't help now but I think you should rule out that as a cause. What is your humidity running? Also she may need a lower ambient temperature as 85 is rather hot. I don't have a whole lot of exp with pneumonia as my cham has never had it.

What is the strangest thing your chameleon has ever done?

Here's another one, when my cham was very little I had him in a 10gal tank while I was building his new cage. so when I went to pick him up he was on the ground, well I had a rock bed at the bottom and that's what he was on. I picked him up and he was holding on to the rocks:D:D so I carried him...

His tank is huge ( 2.5x2.5x4.5 ft )so the bulb doesn't heat the bottom much at all.

    Breeder or Pet store?

But yes lots of pet stores treat them like crap, the one I bought mine from had three male veileds in the same tank that was short and long not tall and not as wide.

    Breeder or Pet store?

I bought mine from a petco he doing just fine.(As far as I can see) The benefit from buying at a shop is you get to see the EXACT cham your getting, some breeders wont send you a pic before you buy him (or her).
