    Hanging on bottom

He is definitely a male, and he travels a lot. I also suspectthat he is looking for escape routes. He got out a couple of days ago, and I think he liked it.

    Hanging on bottom

Is there any reason why my chameleon would go to the bottom of the cage besides being unwell? He eats well, he drinks well, he has a pretty trusted routine, but he travels a lot, and sometimes I find him low down. If I approach his cage when he is on the bottom, or close to it, he immediately...

    Shedding and mood

Thanks. He is eating a lot less too, but he is still eating. And it's probably the first time I've seen him enjoy misting.

    Shedding and mood

This is my first shedding experience, and I have noticed that Finn is a cranky little chameleon. Are the two related, or should I be looking for another reason for the extra dirty looks?

    Rudis maybe????

This thread reminds me of a conversation I might have with my son. He gets an idea in his head, and he's like a dog with a bone. The issue though is that most of the time he expects others (me) to actually make everything easy for him to get what he wants. If your mom doesn't want this thing...

    Excited and wanted to share

I just thus week noticed that he will hide if one of my younger kids assists in his care. My oldest will do his care solo, and he seems to be tolerant of that, but he's timid of the younger boys

    Excited and wanted to share

I got to see my Cham eat for the first time today. He is really "shy" and really doesn't allow humans into his daily routine, but today for the first time in the more than three weeks that I have had him he walked right up to his dish and ate everything right in front of me. I even took a video...

    Veiled Cham not sleeping

He was fine last night. I'm not sure what happened. I will continue to keep an eye on him over the next few nights just to be sure.

    Veiled Cham not sleeping

The only light was coming from the moon through the window. And it has been quite bright the last couple nights. Would natural light do it?

    Veiled Cham not sleeping

He is 12 hours on, 12 off. There were no animals near him, and no lights on anywhere near him. Any other time I have seen him after lights out he's been asleep. Last night not only was he awake, but being active.

    Veiled Cham not sleeping

Hi, so I woke up at about 3am to go to the washroom. I walked past my Cham enclosure to get there and he was climbing the wall of his cage. I found it strange for him to be so active that late. Am I doing something wrong?

    How do you gutload?

I was just wondering what everyone's prefer method of gutloading is. Also, how many crickets/other do you normally keep per chameleon?

    Changes to veiled environment

Hi, as I said in my intro I am very new to caring for a chameleon. We have started getting along for a few days and for the last couple days he has been less colourful. I worry that something is stressing him. I am wondering if introducing new objects to his enclosure could do that. It is an...

    Introduction

Thank you. His name is Finn. My son named him because he looks like he has a shark fin. His words not mine. I am definitely finding him to be a fascinating animal. I love an animal with personality, and my husband and I are both big animal people. I have so many pics of him, but I'm not...

    Introduction

Hello. A week ago Sunday I was "gifted" with a veiled chameleon. I decided that I would make the most of it and make a proper home for him. I had no knowledge lizards at all. He is my first cold blooded companion. We had a rough first week, but I think we are starting figure one another...
