Ok, his eye is still closed. He was just shedding, which I had never seen before and it made me freak a little (lol, sorry!), but all the skin is off his eye, and mostly off the rest of him body now. As for the eye, he still opens it occassionally, but for the most part keeps it closed, or...
I've asked a lot of feeding questions so far about how to get my jackson wilson to eat, but I'm still having trouble.
I'm trying to get an idea of what is normal for you and your cham, so I can better gauge how well Wilson and I are doing.
How often do you feed your cham?
What time of...
My little cham Wilson is shedding for the first time! :D
Has anyone here found any shedding aids to be helpful? Or are they just another thing petsmart is trying to get me to waste money on??
WHO'S TRIED WHAT, AND WHAT DID YOU THINK????
Thanks for your feed back!!!:p
"I see" (said the blind man).
I have some vit A oil that I was going to put on some bugs, so I can start doing that tomorrow. The thing is Wilson is tiny, only 0.5oz! I'm thinking maybe just one bug with a little oil on his back every few days so he doesn't overdose, does that sound about right?
QUESTION: Poop, what's healthy cham poo supposed to be like? Wilson's is usually a bit wet. Is that normal? Could this be at all related to what's making him close his eye? Is that a symptom of vit A problems??
:confused:HMMMM......first off, that was really good info. Thanks!
I'm a little confused though, because I gut load all my bugs with carrots and collard greens and sweet potatos, which are supposed to be high in vit A. And, I dust a few insects with a multivitamin once a week, so how can he...
Ok, so much to my relief, it appears to be shedding. I've been misting him tons, and most of the dead skin on his eye is off, and now I can see other spots on his body starting to shed.
But, his right eye is still closed.....so maybe there is a little bit of vit A definency going on as well...
Ok, I just borrowed my friends camera and took pictures, BUT, I can't upload them on to my computer. I'll have to wait until I can go back to her house tomorrow and upload them then.
Right now his eye looks a lot better. Most of the dead skin looks to have come off, so maybe it was just...
I will be very careful, thank you!
Can anyone please give me some sort of response, I'm really scared.
I don't really know anything about shedding. I've had him about two months and he has never shed before. How often should a young jackson shed?? Should I be misting him more to help him...
Ekk! Something is wrong with Wilson's Right eye!!!
I posted the other day because I noticed he was closing it a lot, and Jim from Chameleon Company got back to me saying it sounded like a vit A definency. That was 2 days ago, and I tried feeding him bugs with some vit A oil on them, but so...
GAG!! Don't make me sick!!!
Jay, what's the tan, wirey stuff in your containers? My set up looks just like your's, minus that part. What's it for? Maybe I should add it........
Before buying anything, be aware they are high maintenance. Like, you can't just go out of town for the weekend, and put a few extra bugs in the cage for him and expect him to be ok. I also found that they take a lot of patience, or at least mine has. Sitting there with the cup waiting for him...
I've noticed that Wilson, my 4 month (that's a guess) old jackson, has been closing his right eye a lot. It's not always closed, but often is when he's just sitting, and when he opens it, it looks kinda like he's squinting, and not opening it fully. What should I do? Should I take him to the vet...
Ok, for those of you who know me, I have a 3/4 month old male Jackson's name Wilson, and I've been having trouble getting him to eat. I've had him for a month or two now, and I'm still having trouble!!!!!:( I could really use some help figuring out what to do about all of it.
Here's...
