with my jackson when I want to make sure I know he's drinking, I mist until I see him lick his lips --- sometimes this means getting a bead of water to form on his lips then he'll lick it.
I was trying to capture Dex in a tongue shot on a silk worm - he crawled under it and then stood up to snatch it. Was a site to see - didn't actually intend for a good lolpic but once I saw it - I couldn't help myself
I think the wow factor of the picture should be considered as well as the composition/contrast/clarity of the picture. Obviously if it's horribley blurry then it shouldn't be there, but if the subject of the picture is great - then that should really be considered as well. Folks shouldn't be...
quick question - slightly off topic...
are silkies a good source of all the essentials for my cham? I'm still feeding crickets with supplements just in case. Thanks!
The only time I ever see my Jackson drink is when he's being misted. I've got a dripper setup but I haven't ever seen him drink any of the water from it.
I've got no advice in re-hydrating besides - misting well - make sure you let some of the moisture run across her lips... that's the best way I've been able to tell for certain that my guy is getting some water, he'll start licking his lips.
use one of those little plastic dog water dishes...
haha whatcha put in the water?
I haven't got enough experience, but I haven't seen my guy do this yet. I did say the first time I saw him deficate I was a grossed out by the process - had never seen a lizard passing anything before :p
I agree - if you're going to sell an animal - research care for the animal so that you can care for it while it's in your posession and then explain to the customer what it is they need to do to take care of the animal.
yeah I talked to one of the guys there. I think if they had been more informed about chameleons - they would have been doing a much better job - they seemed to really care for the majority of animals they had
