    New with questions :)

It is great she is more alert! Make sure she is staying hydrated, parasites and medication is rough on there little systems. There are many different things that can affect their tongues, vitamin deficiency, injury, and dehydration.

Preparing for my first chameleon, tips appreciated

V is looking awesome!! So I had the chameleon fountain in all of my enclosures and I really liked them to begin with but they are now removed. They really never had poop or bugs get in them but the tubing from the reservoir to the top where the water goes over the fake plants and the top where...

    Dehydration

Great! I would take a day off and then do another shower, he looks pretty dehydrated, and definitely keep misting. Make sure the enclosure dries out some before misting again. I would also get some hornworms they are great for hydration and are irresistible to most chams!

    Dehydration

He needs more hydration ASAP. To shower him take a branch and place it in the shower, turn the water on warm and let the over spray hit him. You do not want him directly in the spray, just the mist/overspray. Do not leave, watch him carefully and keep him in there for at least 15 mins. What is...

Looking for new feeders for my Nosy Mitsio Panther

He is beautiful!! I feed superworms( they come in all sizes even little tiny ones so any size cham can have them) blue bottle flies, red runner roaches, orange head roaches, snails, green banana roaches, black soldier fly larvae, butterworms, silkworms and Isopods. I buy all of my feeders from...

    Baby Cham won’t eat anything

This is not a great sign, if he is sleeping during the day I suggest a vet visit to make sure everything looks ok with him.

    Baby Cham won’t eat anything

I would definitely get some more foliage in his cage, the more they feel secure the better they will eat! I agree the cricket in the picture definitely looks to big, mine prefer their food smaller and it needs to be no bigger then the space between the eyes like stated above. Also I would switch...

    My new little furcifer verrucosus!

Haha, I love b-day money, I use mine for the same thing:D:DHonestly he seems to be as shy as my other guys at his age, I feel it is more of a baby thing than a species thing. I am assuming him being captive bred makes a huge difference on the shy level as well as overall personality. I have a...

    My new little furcifer verrucosus!

He is out and about a lot more than before but not as much as my panther or veiled. I am not sure if it is because he is still small or if it is because of his species?!?

    Glass Tank??

We run a woodstove for about 8 months of the year, it is extremely dry, all of my guys are in Exo Terra’s and we love them. We have never had any troubles. We have a veiled, panther, Jackson, and furcifer verrucosus. I did not drill my tanks, I just suction out every day. Here is a picture!

    Introducing roaches

I find all of my guys only eat dubia when they are poured from a cup right near them. They do not move enough in a cup so they just ignore them, once I pour the roaches near them they eat them fine! I use glass enclosures so I don’t have to worry as much about escapees! If one does I will find...

    Dubai roaches

I feed oranges occasionally, I have never fed bananas. My go to list for gut load foods is squash, sweet potatoes, dandelion greens, mustard greens, carrots, endive, arugula, turnip greens and a few others. I really only feed fruit sparingly.

    Panther is not himself?

I feed my older guys every other day or a smaller feeding every day depending on the week. I also find my panther likes a new food every feeding, he gets bored easily with the same food choices. I also find he gets bored with his cup, so I pour some in his enclosure so he can hunt. Also he does...

    Sick Veiled Chameleon

I would switch to a linear uvb bulb, it will cover much more area in the enclosure instead of one little area the compact does. I use Reptisun t5 HO 5.0 bulb. Also if his urate is yellow he needs more fluids, I would give him a shower. Basically put a branch in the shower and turn it on to warm...
