My panther is definitely a worm guy, he LOVES silks and hornworms:) I find that he also goes crazy for blue bottle flies! I find also that I have to offer a different type of food at each feeding for him to actually eat, I am now running a small bug catering service:ROFLMAO:
I am so sorry for your loss:(
If you decide to try again where you get it from makes a huge difference in succeeding! Unfortunately most big online reptile stores and big box pet stores are in it for the money and not the animal. Which in turn means the animal is usually already sick. I highly...
I feel if I could have 1/4 of your knowledge about them, I would be doing great :)That is one thing that amazes me, there really is something new and fascinating to learn about them all the time!
I was planning on getting one from a breeder, but then I fell in love with furcifer verrucosus and got one of those instead!! Hopefully one day, sooner than later depending on hubby;)I love their size and their crazy cool colors:)
It really depends on what the basking temp. is reading. I personally only use a 40w and when they were smaller I even had the 40w on a lamp dimmer to acquire the right basking spot!
@kinyonga is amazing and so knowledgeable, whatever she suggests I would go with!!
Gut loading is important as...
White is great!! He may be still adjusting/acclimating too, he sounds like he has found a great new home:) Veileds have the greatest personalities:love:
Mine all slept in funky, weird spots until they found the one they really liked the best! Also just as a heads up, I would only dust with the calcium with d3 twice a month, a multivitamin twice a month, and the rest of the feedings with calcium without d3! Congratulations on your new little one:)
Thanks for filling out the form.
He/she which you can tell by looking at the back of its feet and see if there is a tarsal spur, your picture is to blurry and I can't tell.
I have a few suggestions.
1- It needs way more foliage in the middle and top, they love to have cover and hide to feel...
My veiled never drinks in front of me, what does his fecal look like? His is urates white, that would be the part attached to his fecal. How are you measuring his temps? His basking temp should be right around 90 to 95 degrees at his age. If you can fill the information out in this link with as...
There are a lot of contributing factors why she may not be eating. If you fill out the information in this link with as much detail as you can, we may be able to help see if something needs to be tweaked to help get her eating again...
He is getting hormonal or is already there! My veiled really cut down on food right around 6 months, all he wanted to do was roam around his cage and look for a lady friend haha!! He is about 9 months now and has slowed down his constant pacing and has picked up on the food intake again, though...
Babies shed more frequently as they are eating more and growing at a faster rate, as mine got older at about 5 to 6 months they were still growing but it starts to slow so in turn the frequency of shedding will be less. If he/she is still drinking and pooping then they will shed when they are...
I use 10 gallon tanks with screen covers. The cricket pen in the picture stinks in my opinion.
1- The tubes are hard to clean and they are useless at actually transferring the crickets.
2- The pen is to small to add proper amounts of gut load and have the space crickets need to move around.
I...
