I can’t say enough good things about @Katacara from Feeders for Friends:) She was super at communicating, her packaging was great but most important her silkworms are awesome, I highly recommend(y) I am definitely going to be a repeat customer:)
We got a new family addition last Thursday and have been waiting for him to settle in before snapping some pictures! He is a Furcifer Verrucosus from @Psychedelic Chams, who was great to work with(y) Also a shout out to @Katacara from Feeders for Friends she was superb to work with and little...
We used to make cages out of colorplast for guinea pigs, all local sign shops carry it as well and they will cut it to whatever size you need. It comes in a variety of colors, it looks a lot like plastic cardboard.
My suggestion is to get a probe type thermometer or temp gun so you can accurately measure her basking spot and the rest of her enclosure. Those stick on temp. gauges are not accurate at all, honestly in my opinion they should not even be sold! If she does not have the right basking temps she...
I love all of your pictures:love: Thing 1 and Thing 2 are amazing, their camouflage is crazy!! I love Alfred too, I vote for him for the calendar too(y)
My suggestion also is to make sure you quarantine any new reptile you get. I never put any of my new additions even in the same room as my healthy guys. I also wash everything especially my hands and anything that has come in contact with the newly acquired animal as you never know what your new...
Thanks everyone for responding!
I do offer a variety of feeders and gutload with a variety of different greens/veggies and my guys have been doing great! I agree with @Extensionofgreen that supplements just help fill in the gaps:) Thanks for helping with my curiosity(y)
I have been researching supplementations, I am personally not having any problems but curiosity got me wondering if I could do it better. I have been reading that some people do Repashy calcium plus lightly dusted at every feeding vs. calcium without d3 daily, with d3 and multivitamin twice...
So I have had these guys for just about two weeks, you can see the new growth it is the dark part of the shell. Personally I was amazed how fast they have grown!
Sorry the picture is kind of blurry
It is so great you are asking all these questions, you are already a great cham mommy!!
I would definitely get a light timer they are life savers, most big box stores have them and they are much cheaper then the pet stores also the light bulb will be cheaper too.
I would put a feeder bowl in...
Haha, I have Helix Aspersa, you told me they were the easiest and you were totally right;) So far I love them, they do smell funky but not horrible. I can't believe how fast they grow:)
I live in Maine and our woodstove killed the screen enclosure very fast it was just to dry, I have my Panther and veiled in the 36x18x36 Exo Terra's. I love them and they hold humidity and temperature very well.
I also keep my snails in a 10 gallon glass tank, with Eco earth and moss. They do...
I find handling is a day to day thing, some days my panther will walk right on to my hand other days he is like "no thank you" 4 months is still pretty young and everything is scary and big to them. It is great she lets you get close to her that is a great start, she just may not be ready to be...
I agree with @Angelwolf what a cool way to control the eggs!
P.S- I love your new picture avatar(not sure the exact name of the picture box thing) I love your name and the design of your sign:)
