everyone has their preferences with either cage or no cage. obviously no cage has some major things that may be problems.
these things include:
escaping prey
poop
escaping chams (what would happen if he ever fell)
maintaining enough moisture
just to name a few
i would have to agree that if you can find out how long they had a particular animal (and not be lied to) then it may be fine. id def stay away from anything they have had for more then a few days.
TOILET PAPER TUBES
leave one or two in your cricket container. they will hide in there which is perfect. i usually place a cup in the cricket container then shake the tube over the cup.
