For a couple weeks we have been housing Loki in a modified tank/birdcage enclosure and today we bought him his own large reptibreeze. :)
I spent about a couple hours assembling, hand sawing, decorating, and arranging his new home while he was sleeping in his old one.
We bought him a pothos...
Thanks! She isn't amused considering she had a clutch of eggs from his loins over a month ago. Haha! I told Zeke maybe Valentine's day, but I doubt it. Poor guy.
Thank you guys! :D
Here are a few photos of our kiddos! (Cami, Loki, and Zeke) Loki is our newest addition. :) Does he look a bit chubby to you? I don't remember Zeke being round like that at Loki's age.
Cami is in the middle of her shed just so you know. Don't want people thinking there's something wrong with...
I've never heard of it ever being too late to introduce new feeders. It's actually best that they have variety in their diet.
Some chams can be picky though. I've noticed my male veiled has lost interest in his crix for over a month now. He seems to like his worms, but I still put crix in his...
I honestly haven't seen or heard a lot of people using substrate to be honest.
It even says on the forum care sheets that many don't suggest any type of substrate, but everyone has their preferences.
They say they may accidentally be consumed by chams during consumption of their wandering prey...
I had a veiled I called Blitz. Unfortunately we didn't have him long enough for him to keep that name and It wouldn't be right to reuse it on my upcoming clutch of veilds... :(
The story behind the name is: Blitz is actually a champ from a PC game my bf n I play. He actually has this skill...
What a cutie!!!
Love the set up! I'm pretty sure the crix can jump out of that cup. Haha!
We hot glued a piece of dowel rod in the center of our plastic cup like you have so our superworms can climb up and down it. Makes them look more appetizing. ;D
I have a little 4m old veiled also...
Give him some time to get used to his new home. Your enclosure should be more than fine. It should be good for him through adulthood too, unless you want to upgrade to something bigger. :p
You CAN cup feed if you like, but you can let the crickets free roam too. Gives them a little exercise...
Ah ok. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks!
Yea.. I found most of them on the top or side, couldn't find them on a couple. Maybe they're on the bottom like you mentioned.
So I went to check on my veild's and crestie's eggs and noticed that on the Veild's eggs, each one had this tiny red ring in or around the top part of the eggs.
It's on the inside because you can only see it when "candled". I was wondering if anyone else observed this during incubation and if...
LOL! Wow! What are the odds of that name coming up 7yrs later for a different pet?!
That's just mind blowing. Coincidence?? Maybe it was meant to be. Haha
Thanks! I'll be my first time ever breeding or hatching anything so I'm VERY nervous and excited.
Looking at the 2nd pic, his tail reminds me of a candy cane with the green and red coloration.
Kain sound more masculine for ya?
Sorry if I'm being cheesy. I'll stop now. Haha ;)
