Hi all...just wondering if any of you have chams that you can take out and they roost on your shoulder and chill. Didn't know if they like to stay put, or just want to move around to higher ground. I see lots of pics of them calmly sitting on owners hands...just wondering if they would do the...
Hi...my new guy Finn seems to be doing well. Yesterday I watched him eat all the crickets I put in his deli cup, and he even took one from my fingers. However, I don't know if he's drinking any water. I spray him in the morning around 10am, and in the afternoon around 3...he runs away! He...
Update...
Well today my little guy (his name is Finn) ate at least 4 crickets. :) He didn't look like he wandered down from the top though, and I didn't see him drink any water. But I think he will be ok. Thanks for the encouragement everyone.
Hi...after months of research, and getting my cage setup, I finally went out and got a veiled cham. He is very small, maybe 2 months old, but he looks good. I put him in his cage, and all day, he did nothing but sit under his heating light. I sprayed the cage with water in the morning, and...

Thanks...
HI...thank you for all the replies. I did have a 16" Repti Sun 5.0 flourescent on the cage before, but the light was so dim, I thought it was not strong enough. I have a plant in there too, so was not sure if it would work for both the cham and the ficus. But, it does sound like the Powersun...
Hi...I have yet to get my chameleon but have all the stuff ready for one when he arrives. I have a light fixture that is using a Zoo Med 100 Watt Powersun bulb, that gives off UVB and heat. Is this sufficient/safe?
Thanks again for the info/advice!

Hi all...I'm new to this site. I am planning on getting a chameleon...first one. It will either be a Veiled or a Panther. I read how putting them outside is good for them...getting real sunshine and all. I have a collapsable screen cage but it has a very small opening at the bottom and top...
