Kammerflage has some really nice Ambanjas up right now.
Ambamnjas are typically blue body with red/purple/blue bars. Or a mixture of those colors. Ambilobes have the oranges/green/yellows and such most of the time.
I noticed one of my babies had some type of odd pattern on one of his eyes. I'm not quite sure what it is...
◦ Your Chameleon - 2.5 m/o, panther, birth. Still lives with some of siblings, though I'm about to separate them. He/she (i cant tell atm lmao) is the only one with this abnormality.

Is it safe to simply remove a branch from my yard, wash it off, then place it into my chameleon's enclosure? (Assuming it's one of the "safe trees" citing FL cham's list).

My panther had been eating on a healthy routine, but ever since he ate his first hornworm (it was enormous if that matters) he hasn't eaten anything since then. It's been around 4 days now.
He didn't choke on it, and he pooped the day after and it looked fine. He's been active otherwise - I see...
Your Cham still receives UVB from the sun even while in the shade, albeit less than direct sunlight.
It’s still much better than artificial lighting though. A few hours in direct sun is better than a day on artificial.
As I said I was not supporting it. Neither was I advertising? No need to be rude, I was simply showing an alternate view, given your condemnation of bflotis1's purchase...
Also, I'm not spouting garbage. I've worked at my local Petco for the past 2 years (I'm in college); I live in Boston, so...
The people that Petco caters their live animals to are probably unaware of this "animal abuse." That being said, the answer to the question "Why bother" is that the animal will be sold either way; whether its sold to a knowledgeable chameleon keeper(I'm assuming) like bflotis1 or to a random kid...
Hello,
So here's my panther chameleon. I bought him at my local reptile store - not a chain/petco, he was captive bred - and he was supposedly an ambilobe panther chameleon aged around 6 months.
He looks tamatave to me as opposed to the ambilobe that the store called him, but I still honestly...
Which vitamins would you recommend? And are they different depending on species; I've heard jacksons are more susceptible to vitamin A poisoning or something...
Thanks for the response.
The "fixture" you referred to (the UV/box thing I'm assuming) has 4 slots so I was a bit confused when you mentioned a "quad fixture." The only thing is that 2 of the slots are occupied by the weak/LED heating lamps. Are you suggesting I just place 4 linear UV instead...
I got my veiled when I was 8 years old, he died when I was 18 this year. He was a vegetable for the last 2 years of his life though - had a clear mass/tumor on his head - so I kept him alive until it seemed like he really was just in pain...As for the female, my dad got it when I was really...
Thanks for responding!
First, the enclosure is actually 3 feet 10 inches tall. It’s gigantic...I was going to use the same vent enclosure I used for my veiled but the people insisted I bought a larger enclosure because panthers apparently need more space.. hence the lack of plants/vines on the...
