New planted vivarium / Great stuff

The "great stuff" is not heavy, but the plants and the earth planted into the wall make it heavy. If its a strong steel screen it could probably hold a wall with no plants.

New planted vivarium / Great stuff

I put a vine from side to side on the top, also, I have a 50w spot on each side, each with a branch that goes up to it. Over all, when all the lights are on, The basking spots are 27c, mid cage is 20-22c and the bottom is around 19c. It holds at a solid 70% moisture. You are correct...

    Exo-terra Monsoon?

There seems to be just too much bad press about the timer, It is a sad thing really cause it looks real sleek and simple. The Idea is great. I have not seen a negative review for a mistking and you can get a decent starter kit for about 140$ (I get mine on monday :D ). The only thing I dont...

Your terrarium moving tips and stories

Ah, its good to know that they are sturdy from a vendor, to be honest I kinda freaked out, the screen top was sorta bent inwards when i got it and a hinge broke when I opened the doors (while laying it on the back to apply the Great Stuff background). But the rest of it does looks solid.

    calling glass terranium owners

Cool thread, glass is a great option for northern collectors. How can you keep a mesh enclosure around 60% w/o funking up your home or reptile room, when ambient humidity can drop to 20% on very cold days due to heating. This is my work in progress viv, great stuff background.

Your terrarium moving tips and stories

Hello, I am in the middle of setting up a fully planted 36x18x36 exo terra. Just found out I will be moving to my new house within a year. I finished the background so it is still movable but already the extra weight shows. Once planted, it will be very heavy, I'm afraid it will not be...

    Basic gutloading question..

You could mix things up a bit, I used to gutload the with the MK diet I made for my Iguana. greanbeans, butternut squash, partsnip, strawberry, grinded alphalpha, collards. I used this for a frilled dragon and a panther. Always had healthy animals. There are a few "recipes" out there, I...

    Cork bark

Hello everyone, I put my hands on a pretty big piece of cork bark today, 4 x 2. How do I "clean" it, it doesn't fit in my oven, (can you even bake cork?) It is -29c right now (-20c). Would leaving it outside for a few days kill any possible insects that could be in there, could it damage...
