I can see how much love and devotion you put into you're chams. A big hurrah for that alone. glad you're incubator came and hope you hatch every single one!!! lol good luck and maybe put up a pic to show you're incubator and eggs?. I too would love to try an incubator one day. are...
incubating
I took the first set she laid out immediately on march second, most did not make it or were infertile because she dropped them, the next batch (laid the same day) are still ok so far. I just candled a few of them and it does look like im seeing a shadow so i guess that means babies...
I placed my eggs in a drawer and the temps are between 78-80. I try to keep the house around 78, so it keeps them that temp as well. Will this work? I also had run out of vermicilite one time and mixed the sand in what I had left, will this be ok? Do you have any posts on preparing for the big...
Ok I'm starting to get nervous now that the time is getting closer for a possible hatch. I'm reading several different things on what to feed the babies. One says pinheads, the other says fruit flies. I'm going to be ready for both, but know nothing of how to culture fruit flies. Can anyone give...
give it time
He may just be inexperienced, but unless theres something wrong with him(vet would know) then just give it time, hell get it right eventually if he hasn't already. Have you been watching during every breeding episode? Maybe he already succeeded. and you missed it. Im pretty sure...
why do you need one?
I am learning from others that if you just place you're eggs in a container with a few pin holes and place them in a drawer or closet where its dark and the temps remain constant, (75-78) that they will do fine. I'll let you know if thats true. Mine are in my drawer and due...
my female is totally opposit
Mine anticipates that male who lives next door(out of sight) that hes going to come in and get her lol. Of course this is mostly when shes not receptive. when she is receptive she kinda has a look, like oh geez and sits on her branch in her nice pink colors and once...
after reading and my first laying experience
I learned from everyone in the forum and what I read about and my own first time experience I know that be ready to put a laying bin in her cage (see video on laying bins) once you notice her heading to the bottom of the cage a lot or even once. Keep...
Now that I have a good idea on how they should look to be fertile, my next question is how long should I leave that laying bin in the cage for? Or should I just figure on leaving it in there forever? Also When this 3-6 months passes and If I don't have any luck and have hatchlings, how long...
yellowish in color
Well i found that one of my containers had all yellowish colored eggs. These were dropped by the female and im assuming their not fertile. While the others shown in forefront of picture 4172 were whiter and layed the same day. I hate to throw the eggs out, as its been around...

My male and female were only together for about 20 minutes, and did breed, is it possible all these eggs she layed are not even fertile? I went and put the eggs into laying bins anyway with moist vermicilite and covered them and put them in my drawer. How long before, should I begin setting up...
Thanks.
They seem to be ok, i havnt checked them in a while, so im going to do that now to make sure they have enough moisture in there, i feel a little more confident now. my next question would be will the eggs change if they are not fertile? and what should i look for?
