Does anyone have any experience with the ReptiSun LED UVB Terrarium Hood? It looks like a good product, however I do not have any experience with Zoo Med as a brand. I am considering purchasing these units instead of an aquarium T5 canopy. Anyone out there with any feedback? Thanks.

There's nothing wrong with having a heat mat, certainly in colder climates. I have always used one in my Exo Terras to keep the ambient temperatures up overnight when it gets cold... which it certainly does in Glasgow.

Plants are filling in a bit better now... just need some cork bark and I shall mount the bromeliad and the orchid. Then I'm ready!

I had the same set-up and it remained on the timer setting. One point to note is that as soon as the separate timer goes off, the Monsoon will activate. Incidentally, I had no end of problems with the Monsoon (four separate units to date), the most concerning if which was the timer getting...

Yes, still very much a work in progress. I need to purchase a misting system, install it and test the misting schedule to ensure the correct humidity and that there's enough time for things to dry out in between mistings. Then it will take some time to let the pants grow to fill it out...
