It could be an abscess. Maybe a cricket bit or he somehow cut himself and it is swelling with pus. I'd have it drained immeditely. If you thin kyou got the steady hands to drain it and then cauterize the wound with a hot knife do it. (Home surgery) Before this i would take him to a vet immediately

I believe is just a thing that happens. You know? As a species evolves nature likes to play games to see what fits best. And each individual develops a physical character. Just like in humans some have big, small nose or ears. Totally normal. You got an awesome colored chameleon btw ;)

I've knwon female chameleon to lay about 3 clutches in a year. Asuming she lives for 6 years... i hate math ugh.. 18 clutches.

Aw look at the lil thing. I'm pretty sure that by this time you've done a good amount of research on itt. But a bird shelter/rescue thing might still be a better option. I know for a fact that hummingbirds need to constantly feed. If you could set up a nectar driper/feeder system tho.. ;)

From the posts it seems to me like you got a puparia colony. Future flies. Yea.. to support the redundancy movement i gots to say bonawitz got it right. You got no idea what crap those puparia have been eating. Might get your cham to start tripping out.

Naturally their are territorial and aggressive. They gotta be. But most chameleons have already had more than 5 generation born in captivity and separated from other chams. Whatever agressiveness that migt remain is instinct. You'll be fine dude that chams gonna loverz you.

I know bad experiences with veileds who hate on flies. Try killing them first, though the ussualy dont recognize dead non moving prey. Wave the fly on his face n stuff. Basically you are trying to make him realize this is edible. Sprinkle some candy on it too :)) At some point he should be...
