You can try putting the fruitflies in a ziplock bag and placing them in the freezer for a minute to stun them before feeding. That will give the neonates more time to "hunt" them before they scurry away. Juvenile jacksonii are a difficult one even for the advanced chameleon keeper.
Nice pics Jan! I wanted to see Chris's presentation but I was the only one manning my table so I couldn't leave. I like how clear your photos are. My tattoo is almost finished, I just need to go back in for some layering. Probably about 2 hours left or so.
:D
Nice! Thats good to hear. Can't wait to see what colors come out of this bloodline. I want to see some of the dark blue barring. Best of luck with them. Talk to you soon!
Sorry guys for taking so long to get on here and read this. Thank you all for your kind words! This makes me feel great, knowing that what I am doing is something that people are actually seeing. I am more concerned about these animals ability to thrive in captivity and their well being than...
almost done..
He added the color to the tail on Thursday. Now all that is left is to layer over the areas where the tribal was to eventually make it dissappear. I love how it came out. The tail is from a photo of my oldest male named Steve, some of you on here know him. The eye came...
Actually, it was more the tattoo artist than me. I started out wanting a whole chameleon, then after discussing it with him this was a better idea. I brought him a ton of photographs and even brought a couple of my chams into his shop, and he did the rest.
Thanks guys! Laurie it will definately be finished by August when you are in town. Supposed to go back April 12 for the finishing touches, i can't wait.
Latest pics. Total of 10 hours so far.
All that is left is to fill in the tail and go back over the eye area to cover the tribal better. It should be almost white around the pupil when it is finished. Probably 2 hours left.

Thanks guys! I have an updated pic but wanted to respond first. Sorry for the delay I haven't had a computer for awhile.
The photo was taken when it was new but that was done 9 years ago
Hi Laurie, yeah you can't see it when I have a shirt on. I'm pretty sure that I had my shirt on...
I'm in the process of haveing an old tribal tattoo covered by a new design. Since a whole chameleon wasn't practical for the shape and area, I decided to go with a parts of a chameleon. It will be an eye and a tail. The tattoo artist is going off of some of my photographs of my male panther...
Update...
This is the latest photo of the second one that I showed before, he is the one that i decided to keep. The one in the first pic I sold to Laurie's sister Lee. I know he will be well taken care of. Showing some amazing colors for his age.
You guys are getting in at the same time as Laurie (;);)), and you were the first one to post. Maybe Laurie will bring you along from the airport. You will have to put up with stopping at my house though on the way through Orlando and checking out my chams (and other herps).. We are coming...
Ok guys, sounds like we need to make plans. I was going off of what Laurie was saying when I said Chad and Darci are riding with us.:o I assumed that she had already made plans with them.
