wow people...
really ????? LOL I don't want to listen to ANYONE calling me lazy because I don't want to mix 20+ items off sandras blog?? Its a great blog (no offense to you sandra, i just can't mix that much stuff.. such a long list and unnecessary to use all that IMHO) , but I AM NOT going...
yes people have told me he is tamatave cross. he actually fires up kind of white around the belly area whenever i put him in the bathroom for a steam sesh. but he has these GIANT blue spikes! they are about 3mm at the highest, almost like a colorful iguana. my ambilobes have very small spikes...
thanks, i really like him too. just so cool to hold a big cham like him. and yeah trust me in not worried, its awesome;) . the only thing im actually worried about somewhat is that he hasn't shed in a while (a new record time compared to any of my other chams) .
your technique sounds amazing... but just too much for me to do as I don't even have access to half those things you mentioned to mix with it unless i really took my time to find it. Ill probably feed my crickets carrots and seaweed maybe and then ill get the dino fuel or bug burger to go along...
and just so everyone knows, the picture of him in the middle (On top of the bird cage) is from months ago lol he has changed into an orange beast. i have never seen this before. I got my other red bar ambilobe and he was the same color ever since he was a year old and hasnt really changed much...
thanks everyone. but I don't know what locale or cross locale he even is... I know he is ambanja because of his giant blue spkes but I don't know what locale he is crossed with or maybe hes just a crazy ambanja. Look up previous threads with double rainbow and you wil see all the weird color...
I also use repashys super pig as a gutload, the crickets eat it all within a day! lol but I do understand that its not enough of a gutload for them. what else should I use? bug burger from repashys? just let me know about the average gutload that you or someone you know would use for their chams...
well honestly theres really nothing wrong with his tongue. its just that my other big ambanja is huge and his tongue is like 12 inches long but this red ambilobe can only flick it out like 7 inches or so and if the cricket is further then that, he will miss. it is no biggie, he has always been...
dang:/ wel i guess ill switch off of them then.. I looked up sandras gutload or whatever its called but seems so complicated. what works for you guys? thank you guys for your help, I really do appreciate it. I was just very worried as it almost looked like a tumor or something!! but its not...
Here he is... I think hes around a year and 4 months old. But he is literally STILL turning orange... very weird. he is also very big, about 16 inches long but big boned and weighes well over 200g. eats about 12 crickets a day lol The picture of him when hes really orange is him about a week...
my calcium already has all the vitamins and minerals in it. Its All in one. Repashys. lol chameleonowner32, can you please post a pic of your male with the fat patch or whatever ? i want to compare.
I will try her gutload and see if it works. i know i don't do anything wrong with supplementing. I dust less then people tell me to and i LIGHTLY dust. so it can't be a build up of what your saying... but Thanks for the opinions guys but this bump really does look weird, does anyone have any...
oh and no i don't know his weight. but hes plenty fat, probably over 150. doesnt like to eat every day though. he eats about 12-15 xlarge (roach sized) crickets every other day or two. same with my other adult male, except the other male I have is a GIANT (about 17 inches long but extremely big...
BTW he is normally housed in a repti breeze but is in this temp cage (in pics) because the screen ripped on one side and im fixing it currrently. just saying
the cubes never mold... they are tiny bright green cubes that smell like jolly ranchers. they are from my local herp shop, pinellas county reptiles. they breed chameleons and feed it to theirs and they look great. but how could i make my own gutload?? ive tried potatoes and stuff but that...
I have 3 panthers and this guy was my first one. I got him about 8 months ago or more. he was born january 2nd, 2012.
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male Panther almost 2 years. 8 months in my care.
Handling -almost every other day or so. they all like to come outside in the florida...
Ive attatched pics. Ive never seen this before. this past 3 months, he has been acting almost completely normal, except for the fact that he cant shoot his tongue as strongly or as far as my other chams. he is also VERY laid back but is alert all day. He has some what strange poop coloring (...
