i think its possibly uv and supplement related, when chams have their eyes closed in the day something is wrong, do you gutload the feeders?
also is the uv tube inside or outside the cage? and what uvb strength is it eg, 5%, 10% etc
rob
ps, carol your avatar pic looks like a cool cham
you can put a 15" fish tank tube in the exo terra dual canopy because it will not produce UVB, it will enhance the brightness in the viv and it will complete the electrical circuit in the dual canopy set up so both tubes light up. i have it set up like this over my 45x45x60 and 90x60x45 exo vivs...
as said before that cham looks unwell, she looks very dehydrated and underweight.
shes looks in pretty bad condition and if you asked me she doesnt look like she has long left.
are any feeders gutloaded prior to feeding? does she recieve vitamin supplements?

hi im from the uk too, i know there aro not any butterflies about now as its too cold but any flying insects should get his attention, there is a guy on reptileforums.co.uk selling blue bottle casters, use the search bar on the sire for blue bottle flies and you shoud find, their cheap too...
i would reduce your vitamin supplements, what brand are you using? maybe you need to be dusting once every 2 weeks, or once a month. also becarful when supplementing too often and gutloading with too many items high in vitamin A. get plenty of fluids into him via pipette.
it depends on your set up, screen cage or partly screened enclosure, it it a custom enclosure? pics of all the set ups would help alot, do you have proper drainage? will the water gather at the bottom? i spray my chams 3 times a day and i know others who do also, and i also know that chams can...
pics are too small, i see the bead of water on the top left egg, could also be vermiculite but i hope ur egg is sweating for you, had a clutch hatch over the christmas period but 3 eggs didnt hatch, 1 hatched this week on tuesday and another egg sweating last night and was looking transparent...
a friend of mine bred his carpet chameleons and his female never dug a hole and layed eggs, she always dropped them on the viv floor. i had a panther female like it 2-3 years ago.
just a thought for you

no probs m8, just remember to "dust" the feeders not coat them in powder, just a light dusting. the products that were posted in the thread are not available over here in the uk. eg herptivite etc. (although i do use the herptivite because it was imported from america, but i have never seen it...
hey dude im from south wales, merthyr tydfil. KOMODO calcium, for young chams dust 3 times a week, you could use your nutrobal once every 2 weeks and use ZOO MED repti-vite without d3 once every 2 weeks. when using these supplements make sure that you are only dusting the feeders, only a small...
put a few different feeders in the bowl, write down how many of each feeder is in there. put the bowl in the cage before you go to work and see if he eats any, if he doesn't then do the same thing the next day. if you have an adult cham then feed him every other day and he should get his...
hello amanda, im rob and also from the uk, south wales not far from you. i use quiko brand of reptile liquid vitamins. i dust my feeders but use the liquid vitamins with sick animals or animals that will not eat feeders that have been dusted. i have NOT used this supplement on a regular basis...
i place my uv tubes outside the cage. they are on the roof of the vivarium over mesh. the mesh does filter out uv. i use exo terra repti-glo 10% uv tubes, but like i said the mesh filters some of the uv, my vivariums are tall and there are plenty of places for the cham to get out of the uv light...
