The unfortunate situation here is that a Chameleon was sold with improper identification. I wouldnt know what either Calumma would sell for in that Country. But if the selling price was far different for each this could lead to many problems far beyond not getting what you were aquiring &...
Yea, I have Parsons Chameleons and what I was getting at is he did not recieve a Parsonii. They have thin barring with no real visable horizontal stripe. Even when mine (Parsonii's) were very small their bars were very thin. Globifers have thicker barring with a Panther Chameleon type horizontal...
Here are some Pics I borrowed from imike88's post. to show side by side a baby Parsons. I also see NO Parsonii features. I to feel you were miss sold.
Still a nice Chameleon you have recieved.
O, and I also added a young Calumma Globifer picture (last one) & that should sum it up. Also...
Perfect! I must say that is the true way to set these up. And my opinion is that the glass front is usually up reasonably high and nonvisual to anything a Chameleon would try to reach out for. Leaving it a direction for the Cham to look out and feel as if it were perched in a bush and still...
I also see the setup that it is kept in is inferior for Parson keeping. Aside from it looks thin. I'm with Todnedo on this one. Probubly purchased at $2,000+ and was keeping this just as a "money move"! As Said Buyer Beware! or offer much less, and be sure to see the Chameleon alive, in person...
Thanks, Here on the front door is a Black metal regular screen door screen (for good frontal viewing). The sides are of a strong nylon mesh I have used alot in my enclosures, cause medium Chams can grip it well without foot and toe damage. I have many many variations of mesh size shape and color...
Ok, Ive got another thread prior to this one showing the begining of stumbling into what I would consider a very good Chameleon enclosure. I was so happy with the final product. I just figured many others could use this design for its overall comfortable looks (I have my Cham setups in very seen...
Here are some pictures of enclosures, from earlier in this post now completed and pic's of its inhabitants:D
First cage and for now contains - Sir Jackson!
Second cage that started this thred. My baby rearing cage and some of the Fishers babies
Ok all sorry for the delay, I wanted to get all the info right before I posted any more. + I constructed a version of a kit enclosure that is ready to go!
Below are Pictures of this new cage. (26" wide X 23" deep X 47.5" tall & ONLY WEIGHS 23lbs!) I did this one in bright lime green just to...
Hey, Just got done taking pic's of cages and will start posting all that now.
And if you were to get a cage I would add in enough barrier for 3 sides of the cage:D
I easily separate cages visualy, with anything from cardboard between cages or like black landscaping cloth. For a more visually attractive look, cut it to fit and tack to side of cage that are visual to other cages and such.
It is a dead tree parts, I find here locally to add eye appeal and walkways for the Chams. They seem to really like them. I will still add in some of those Rubber vines that you buy.
I'm working up a price sheet, weighing the finished cage (for shipping ) and will post this info by mid week. I
Mainly I wand to keep shipping down for all, & affordable so I'm looking into many ways to accomplish all this at the moment. But daily I have new ways and Ideas pop into mind.
I have many variables of screen possibilities. The Black Cage in Picture has a slick looking 1/4 by 1/4 and 1/16 by 1/16 combination mixed mesh. I went with the smaller size mesh for this one, because It is a cage for my baby Fishers that are growing out of thier rearing cage. With this I can...
I would install a dripper. They are easy to make and work effectively to provide hours of drinking opportunities.
As for your cage, 4' tall would be good for your Chameleon.
