I had him out about 4x next to those plants but I always thought he was staring out at the window- turns out he was probably staring out with one eye at the plants and one eye out of the window... I still dont know how he climbed out over there without the branch being there as a "bridge" for...
It was my fault... I left his reptarium open a bit so that the plants can get more sunlight... I have done this pretty much since I have gotten him and for a while I had put a branch that extended from his reptarium and went over to the windows that are 2 ft away from his cage- he always was...
So I went out today and came back- he was still in his bed spot. I am disappointed about that. I sprayed him with warm water to get him to drink but i have not seen him drink at all today. There are plenty of droplets on the leaves.
Looks like he is staying in bed today...
Yes... I will...
My ambilobe stays in bed almost all day... its not everyday but every few days.
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care? Ambilobe Panther Chameleon, Male, approx 7 months old... I have had him since Sept 28 2012...
My panther sits under the fogger at times. I have it off to the side away from his basking lamp and he definitely will go sit right under it and stay there a while. I always thought it felt too cool but i think he alternates it with basking. :)
My 6.5/7 month old is sort of doing the same thing. I noticed mine is more wrinkly looking... but i know he is near a shed. He is due right about now. Mine is also slow in the mornings to climb up to his usual spots. He has been doing this for 3 days with the 1st and 3rd day being slower than...
I was lucky and got a male from them :) I know it doesnt give a choice on the website and after I ordered I started to freak out. I ordered a blue bar ambilobe online from their site Sept 2012.
My next one will come from a breeder (just not sure which).
Sorry you got a male from them when...
I will start it off- I have a blue bar ambilobe... as a total noob, I chose this locale because I liked how they showed a "rainbow" of colors. My husband helped me pick as well. My 2nd runner up was a Nosy Be (which I hope to buy this year sometime). Actually, if I had my way, I would have one...
At first, i really thought mine was a red bar instead of blue (he was showing orange/red/yellows early on) but then all of a sudden the blues came in. Mine is about 7 months old (I had to guesstimate his birthday and he is around 7 months next week). Yours is definitely showing much more red...
Lately, I have been spending a bit more time trying to get my ambilobe to climb on my hand/arm. Normally I stick my hand under his foot and he grabs on but my arm tires so badly after a while- before he can climb fully onto me.
He hates it if i try to put a stick anywhere near him to...
