He takes forever climbing onto my hand

Lately, I have been spending a bit more time trying to get my ambilobe to climb on my hand/arm. Normally I stick my hand under his foot and he grabs on but my arm tires so badly after a while- before he can climb fully onto me.

He hates it if i try to put a stick anywhere near him to grab... he puffs up very quickly. Not sure if I am approaching this the right way (under him and slow)... he will puff up 100% of the time at the stick but is more friendly to my hand. Would have thought it was the other way around.

He will hand feed (worms) and will sometimes take his front legs and use me as a "step" while he feeds out of his cricket cup (but my arm gets tired too and i end up leading him to a nearby branch so he can walk off.

I hope I can make more progress by spring so he can climb on me and get some natural sun outdoors! (also will make taking pics easier lol)

I think your doing a good job. He associates your hand with food so thats why he likes it, the stick doesnt feed him.:) Just keep going slow with it some people will use their other hand and comefrom behind him to coax him into going a little faster, or some people lift up as they are on your hand and they will hang on or climb up. Just keep moving slow and he will learn to do it fast

Its like a workout just holding my arm out still and steady for him. LOL

Thanks for the reply and the link!!!!!!!!!
