Soo i've decided after a brief time keeping adult crickets that they suck. They smell, they're loud, and they escape. I'm looking to start a Dubia colony but I need some advice on where and how many to buy. It seems they are expensive so I want to be sure I order the appropriate age/sexes to...
Hey peeps,
Anyone have any good contacts for custom builds? I'm looking to have a custom screen cage built. I essentially want one just like the reptibreeze cages, but larger than 2x2x4.
All I've been able to find so far is large metal bird cages that I would have to affix replacement...
Free Range Q's? where to get HUGE cage?
hey everyone,
I've been thinking about the perminant free range/ a bigger enclosure for some time and I see some pros and cons to both.
For one the biggest cages I have found that you can buy (and not build yourself--not sure i trust myself w...
My ambilobe male is 4 1/2 months old. I got him at 2 months and he's been slow to aclimate and has gotten much better but is still skidish and tries to avoid me. I've noticed that since i've been letting him out on a free range when I'm around, he's been constantly searching for a way out of...
My guy soze fell asleep yesterday before finishing a shed. When I came home on my lunch today everything was gone but I tiny little bit on his eye right around his pupil. I can tell its bothering him..he was trying to rub it on my hand when I held him and it looked swollen. I've been trying...
Update on keyser's fall
Thanks ladies!
I watched him close over the weekend and everything seems good. He's moving fine and I watched him take nice healthy poo. Probably the biggest turd I've found so far too lol. I continue to keep an eye to make sure they're are no developments but as...
My 4 month old panther fell on to a carpet from about 7 ft. He looks ok outwardly, is climbing fine and whatnot. Should I be concerned about internal damage? He fell on to a carpet but not a very padded one...
gutloading
I agree it is very convenient. Cost effective too and should last me a long time. I have not seen sandrachameleon's recipes, will definitely have to check that out!
Thanks
So I blended up and froze a large batch of home made gutload that I'm currently using for 3/8 inch crickets. In the mixture I put: an apple, orange, sweet potato, and some carrots and romaine lettuce.
Problem is I cant tell if the crickets are eating it. I only have 60 3/8th inch crickets in...

Wow, he's coloring up really nicely. My guy is roughly 3.5 months and just started to show some faint greens and reds after his last shed.

How wide of a window could babies from the same clutch conceivably hatch? I too have a baby from Acie DOB somewhere 12-19 to 12-21. Do you have any pictures of slink?!
This is really what we need to know I think...
Everything I've read, on here at least, is that they don't have hearing in the way we would normally think of it, but rather they can hear hear/feel the vibrations of deeper bass sounds. The trouble is this doesn't help to figure out what...
hmm
Nick,
yeah, there really is a considerable difference there. I have had my local shop order a single t-5 fixture, but I'm not obligated to buy it as they were all out of stock anyhow.
PM me prices for the double fixtures you have, maybe I will consider!
Thanks!
Is LYR the brand? I think I'm looking for just a single unit as my cage is surrounded by windows and the live plants I have are already growing too quickly..
Is there any benefit a 6500k bulb would have for the cham?
