I'm also interested to learn why his scales are missing form his back. Did he get burned at some point? or is all this from rubbing against the cage? Did you buy him like this?
By looking at your tank and the pond I was hoping to get you to fill out the how to ask for help list and post it here. The reason I ask is not so we can bash your setup, but to see if there is anything else that might need to be corrected to avoid possible future health issues to your Chameleon.
This probably unrelated to your problem but you should only supplement Vitamin D3 twice a month, D3 every day is too much. you should do calcium every day, and calcium + D3 twice a month. The only thing I can think of related to your problem is its too hot in there. 75F at the bottom is still...
Ethen I understand what your saying. I have been having issues with RI infections for quite some time now. one thing I learned about it is there is no sure fix. From my understanding the only way to get to the bottom of an RI infection is with a culture and sensitivity test done by a good...

Sorry about your Chameleon passing. Sounds like it needed a good Vet though, not all vets specialise in reptiles. Also you should know respiratory infections are very tricky. Keep in mind what we are talking about here its pretty much experimenting, no one guaranteed it would save your...

Thank you for the suggestions. I didn't know anyone had posted here, I thought this thread was dead. I have actually already done the things you suggested. I currently keep him under a 150W ceramic heater, his basking spot at night is about 84F that I measure with a probe thermometer. I suppose...
I made it to page 6 before I lost interest. How ever my thoughts on the topic is there are much worse things then Two Chameleons fighting. Whats done is done. Moving along boys.
I agree with Ataraxia. It's possible that it's a suppliment issue. But the dark spot on your chameleons head is an infection. The eye and the dark spot are probably related and are infections. Your chameleon needs a vet.
