Od potty habit?

My male veiled climbs down to the bottom of the cage to poop!

I know when I see him climbing down close to the floor, he needs
to use the 'boys room' LOL!

When he does his business, he climbs back up!!

This is great for me because it makes clean up easy.
I just lay paper towels on the floor and it's easy to pick them up.

Is this typical behaviour or what?!

That's cool. I think chams all have there own way. Better then my cham, he likes to use the bathroom when I'm holding him. The other day I was at Pet smart with him and he started using the bathroom, I had to run to a garbage can and let him hover until he was done...lol.

Lol! I wish Teal'c would do that! She climbs right to the top and makes sure to splat everything on the way down!

My Chameleon also goes to the bottom of the cage to poop.

LOL! I guess it makes sense. They dont want to contaminate they habitate
with their own waste, so they go down on the floor.

This reminds me of leopard geckos, how they almost always pick a corner
of the cage to poop and that is where they will go every time.

It is so easy to just cut a whole bunch of paper towel corners and keep them ready

Leo's are the easiest to clean up after, but their poop smells particularly foul, so I clean it out as soon as I see it.

my veiled goes on the branch that is far way from the plant and poops,same branch ,same spot everyday, he never poops on his plant and it drops on the bottom of his cage. very easy to clean cose the poops in same spot daily

I swear my Cham either loves poopin at the top because she will get it all over her vines and stuff. :/
