there are people keeping damaranum (including me). But I would not recommend for a beginner to start with those animals.
But when you prepare the right way everything is possible.
When you look at the photography and bradypodion forums you can see several pictures
I also keep vittifer now. And I'm still searching for cataphractus and young giganteus so when you know somebody ;-)
Thanks all for the compliments. I like joining those pictures. After keeping them for many years I keep enyoing them!
I've been working with Bradypodion since 2002. And I will continue doing that.
It's true the Bradypodion in the USA come from Europe.
The last years the amount of animals in Europe also exploded. I doubt that will continue for many years. The only species which keeps on breeding with succes...

First I'd like to say I'm not a vet and I can't promisse my gudgement is the right one.
But it doesn't look like a burning wound to me. When chameleons burn in almost all the cases the scales turn black and also very often the scale structure can't be seen anymore. In this case you can see...
I don't think the females will become very common. This will stay a species for the people who really are into them and I think that is a good thing. As it should be for many Malagasy species which came in way to much.
I Knew you would like it ;-)
I hope to extend my bitaeniatus group the upcomming time. I now also have 1 from Uganda but hope to get more. When she starts showing collors I'll post pics of her.
@Fabian, From Kenia this are the only ones I worked with. I also worked a lot with the uganda...
I breed all my flies which is the primary food. Then I breed the roaches.
The other food I buy as it is to much work as I like to enjoy chameleons and my other reptiles and not the crickets etc.
I'm planning on writting an article about how I keep them so when it is finished a link will be posted on this forum ofcourse!
I keep loving the Bradypodion! I dind't make many pictures this time more will follow an other time.
