Pictures would really helpful. Is it a clean snap off or does it show signs of it being burned? It would have to be quite hot to burn a horn down and odd that it would not affect the others.

yup... if the egg has not rotted keep it. I had one clutch of 37 eggs... 4 hatched at 6 months the rest of clutch at almost 13 months.

It looks like a burn. What are his basking temps? Also remember when checking your temps his head and back ridge will be a good 1.5"-2" higher then the branch. I like to put something on the branch and shoot the object with the temp gun when dry running my cages.
