My 7 month old Panther looks sick or injured. He is eating fine but lathargic maybe? I am unsure if that is normal for a Male Panther. He has developed this weird purplish color on his head and spikes on shoulder area. Pics bellow. Can anyone see if this is a desiese or injury?

I keep his cage at an even 80 degrees farenhiet. Mist his cage as much as possible. He has a dripper, and gets liquid calcium sprayed on his food every time except once every other Thursday when I give him D3 powdered crickets? I am a bit worried here any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like to much calcium. Could this be a burn? Can he get to close to his lights? I'm not good at telling what can be wrong so I hope someone else can help you but this is what came to my mind.

It looks like a burn. What are his basking temps? Also remember when checking your temps his head and back ridge will be a good 1.5"-2" higher then the branch. I like to put something on the branch and shoot the object with the temp gun when dry running my cages.

Thank you I will try that. I happen to have an IR temp gun. As for the baking ligh it is a Red night lamp I think a 75 watt.

Well I dont know what it is looks to maybe be a burn as suggested. I have moved the lighting higher. But I am told he is a Nosey Be but he is starting to display Red in various spots? Is that normal for a Nosey Be?
